About
For almost a decade I was a graphic designer and the sole website designer/programmer at one of the UK’s largest regional agencies. Over the past couple of years I’ve been busy building a successful freelance business.
I take a hand-built approach to website coding and believe strongly in high web standards and accessibility; something I’ve been an advocate of for years. While methods may evolve constantly, my central ethos of quality design and production take precedent over everything. I don’t like to get bogged down too much in jargon, acronyms and ‘solutions’; I find clients prefer simplicity, creativity and someone who knows what he’s doing.
Office
I now share office space at the former RAF base at Rissington with (in alphabetical order) the internets Jon Dennis (Graphicworks), Jon Hicks (Hicksdesign) and John Oxton.
Personal stuff
Born in Dover, I lived and worked for more than 10 years in Nottingham. In summer 2007, I moved to the beautiful Cotswolds and the small ‘historic market town’ of Chipping Norton, along with my wife and cats Eric and Maurice. Not a slave to the Mac (despite the fact that most my friends use me as an Apple troubleshooter!), I like cycling in all its forms. I just wish I could ride more. And faster.
And the shoes?
They have all gone to live on Flickr in their own set. Flickr does everything I ever wanted to do with them. Especially the map bit.
Blog?
It’s undergoing a bit of a transitional phase…
